Boroo: a conditional Yukon purchase
Boroo signed a conditional agreement to acquire Victoria Gold, whose principal asset is Yukon’s Eagle Gold Mine. Consideration is up to C$140 million: C$40 million upfront and C$100 million tied to permitting and commercial-production milestones.
Court, Competition Act and Yukon lender approvals remain conditions. Certain remediation obligations and closing security sit alongside that consideration, with amounts undisclosed. Boroo’s later capital plans are separate commitments. The purchase consideration is only one part of the commitment.

TransAlta sells a stake and buys assets
TransAlta completed the sale of a 49% interest in its Oklahoma wind portfolio for US$305 million before closing adjustments. It retains operational oversight under an asset-management agreement.
The Canadian power producer also completed a US$1 billion purchase of two Colorado gas facilities, including US$750 million of assumed debt. That is not a billion-dollar cash cheque. These are separate transactions; the release does not establish that the wind-sale proceeds funded the gas purchase.

Quick hit: management stays at the table
Power Sustainable Lios’s October 22 buyer announcement says it acquired Richmond, B.C.-based Fine Choice Foods, alongside FCC, Bonnefield Financial and senior-management co-investment. The food maker owns the SUMM brand and operates two B.C. manufacturing facilities.
Existing executives are to keep leading the business. Price, ownership percentages and the exact closing date are not disclosed in the release. Management’s continuing investment and leadership sit alongside new institutional capital; the eventual results remain to be seen.

Quick hit: financing receivables
Neo Financial says it closed an ATB Financial-led warehouse facility to finance credit-card receivables. Neo is a Canadian fintech with headquarters in Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto.
This is receivables funding, rather than an equity raise or a business valuation. The release does not disclose how much has been drawn. Its dollar figures lack an explicit currency, so they are omitted here. Capacity and cash already drawn are different measures.
Disclosures: October 22, 6:33 a.m.–October 23, 6:44 a.m. Toronto. Selected coverage; disclosure dates may differ from closing dates.
