The announcement is the opening line. Today’s deal mix puts the follow-through in focus.
Newforma brings Toronto AI in-house
Newforma announced its acquisition of Toronto-based Lumi AI on October 21. Terms weren’t disclosed. Lumi’s engineering team will keep building from Toronto.
Newforma plans to integrate Lumi’s analytics into its project-information products. That pairs a team and technology with an existing business; the integration and rollout still lie ahead. Buying the engine isn’t the same as having it installed.

A spaceport contract with two layers
NordSpace announced a ten-year facility-access agreement with National Defence for its Atlantic Spaceport Complex in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador. The government says the agreement is signed.
It provides priority access to a dedicated launch pad. NordSpace describes a base scope covering facilities, systems and standby readiness, with missions contracted separately when called. Access and readiness are one commitment; a launch mission is another. The agreement doesn’t establish that the site is launch-ready.

Quick hit: a first cheque, not the whole raise
Saskatoon’s ZYUS reported closing C$200,000 in gross first-tranche proceeds within an offering of up to C$3 million. Insiders bought all the first-tranche units. Final TSX Venture Exchange acceptance remains outstanding.
The money is intended for general corporate purposes and working capital. Keep the closed tranche separate from the fundraising target—and insider participation separate from evidence of outside investor demand.

Quick hit: another Vancouver addition
Mapmygenome announced it had completed its acquisition of Vancouver-based dnaPower. The announcement gives no purchase price or exact closing date.
The buyer describes combining dnaPower’s consumer reach with its laboratory platform, which includes Vancouver’s Microbiome Insights, acquired in 2025. That earlier deal is background, not a second acquisition announced today. The business rationale is reach plus infrastructure; the announcement doesn’t establish achieved integration results.
