Good morning. Today’s deal news is about what changes—and what stays put. A refinancing brings a longer maturity, a wind-project sale keeps the operating team, and a mining financing arrives in another instalment.
EMERGE buys itself more time
In a September 23 release, EMERGE said it refinanced its C$5.85 million senior facility with Desjardins Ontario Credit Union. Maturity moves from October 2027 to September 2033.
The floating rate falls from prime plus 6.55% to prime plus 2.85%: 3.7 percentage points lower. That meant 11.00% versus 7.30% at the announcement; the new rate isn’t fixed.
EMERGE expects about C$400,000 in first-year cash-flow savings, combining lower interest, reduced refinancing costs and interest income. A separate C$1 million revolving line, guaranteed by Export Development Canada, is available for working capital and general corporate purposes. Availability isn’t the same as cash already drawn.
The useful distinction: this is a change in borrowing terms, not a fresh C$5.85 million equity cheque. The maturity extension matters alongside the headline rate.
Golden South changes hands; the operator stays
Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure announced the sale of Golden South to Concord Green Energy. The 200 MW wind project near Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, has operated since March 2022. The September 23 announcement did not disclose a price.
Potentia will continue managing day-to-day operations. A new owner doesn’t necessarily mean a new operating team—a useful detail when reading an asset-sale headline.

Quick hit: another step for GoldHaven
GoldHaven announced that it had closed another tranche of its previously announced flow-through financing. Proceeds are expected to support exploration at Magno. This is a further step in an existing financing, so the round’s cumulative headline shouldn’t be counted again as entirely new money.
